Default Rate my Build ^^

OK this is a build I came up with, it might be similar to other builds though.
Please rate and tell me how I can improve this for PvE purposes.

Expertise-12+1+2
Marksmanship-12+2
Wilderness Survival-3 (Leftover points)

Equipment
I use a longbow that has 15^50, +30HP and +33% Poison
Expertise+Marksmanship runes shown above,
Full Survivor on my Primeval

OK here's the skills:
[Burning Arrow] [Savage Shot] [Distracting Shot] [Crossfire] [Poison Tip Signet] [Throw Dirt] [Whirling Defense] [Resurrection Signet]

Variants:
Replace [Crossfire] with [Volley]
Spec into Wilderness and replace [Poison Tip Signet] with [Apply Poison]
Replace [Throw Dirt] with [Mending Touch]

Here's why I bring each skill.
[Burning Arrow] I love the heavy degen and + damage
[Savage Shot] and [Distracting Shot] Interrupt key skills (Monk bosses -.-)
[Crossfire] I think this skill is underused. 4 second recharge and +19 damage (With my attributes) and the potential unblockableness makes this very good ^^
[Poison Tip Signet] To spread more degen and pressure mobs with 2+ monks
[Throw Dirt] Melee comes and attacks you-blind them =]
[Whirling Defense] If you are attacked by 2+ melee chars then just use this and you're good to go.
[Resurrection Signet] Uhm... resurrect?

Thanks for reading, I am newish still to making builds. I love doing it though. I've been looking to find an extraordinary build that uses skills that work like magic but have yet to be successful -.-

it looks fairly well, make sure you dont run in the middle of the fight to use [throw dirt], [whirling defense] is okish but i prefer [natural stride].

Not terrible I guess, but inferior to http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:R/...g_Arrow_Ranger

Honestly, I'd use incendiary arrows in pve.

I would definitely take apply poison over poison signet... it is much easier to spam..maybe not the same duration but you can spread it much easier and reapply it better. It is even better when the opponent removes a poison which was about to expire in a couple seconds anyhow.

for PvE go [Ignite Arrows][Incendiary Arrows][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] and blow stuff up

Degen by itself isn't worth it in PvE, especially single-target degen.

Not THAT bad.

Take out burning and put incendiary, put ignite arrows, and stuff

In PvE, to spam burning its better with Searing Flames but I would not use degen in PvE unless it spreads to nearby foes.

Other that that, 4/10.

I would have [[Incendiary Arrows] over [[Burning Arrow]. Having three bow attacks is enough so I wouldn't take [[Crossfire]. Put 11 into Wilderness Survival with a minor rune so it's 11 + 1 = 12 for Incendiary Arrows and to replace [[Poison Tip Signet] for [[Apply Poison]. A block stance is enough for PvE, so blind isn't needed. Replace [[Whirling Defense] with [[Lightning Reflexes]. Use one of the empty slots for [[Dwarven Stability] and the other for a utility like [[Mending Touch]. If you are going /Mo for mending touch, put 3 into Protection Prayers and replace [[Resurrection Signet] with [[Rebirth]. Drop Marksmanship to 8 and replace the major with a minor so it's 8 + 1 = 9. Drop Expertise to 11 and replace major with minor so it's 11 + 1 + 1 = 13. Get a poisonous recurve bow of Fortitude with a "Strength and Honor" inscription, and a flatbow with the same stats instead of the longbow. Best vigor rune you can afford. Survivors with a vitae, or Radiant with an attunement if you think you need the extra energy.

Should look something like this:

[build prof=R/Mo Exper=11+1+1 Wilder=11+1 Marks=8+1 Prot=3][Incendiary Arrows][Savage Shot][Distracting Shot][Dwarven Stability][Mending Touch][Lightning Reflexes][Apply Poison][Rebirth][/build]

Inferno, you're taking two skills to provide IAS but dropping marks to counter their effect?

Two majors are fine, talisk, but not needed in this setup since you don't need more then 14 expertise, so, 12+1+1 expertise and 12+2 marks or 12+2 expertise and 12+1+1 marks.

Even when not taking Apply a preparation like Read the Wind is usefull, and since two defensive skills are overkill, swap one for the preparation - and if you do choose RtW, you can bring a flatbow. Hard rez is preffered, if you bing one, otherwise, you can drop it for a PvE skill. I'd probably drop Crossfire for another PvE skill too.

OK so I seem to be getting the feeling [Incendiary Arrows] is much better :P
But I don't get why people say take out [Crossfire] it works great!

I don't use it for auto attacking. It's to spam Incendiary Arrows more and makes it easier to land interrupts.

AoE in PvE is generally considered better than single target damage. Crossfire only shines when you bring a pet or like standing near foes.

For spamming Incendiary Arrows I think Serpent's Quickness would do better, that was an interesting combo together with Ignite and and the EBSoH, before IA got tuned down.

But anyway, I'd prefer 11/10/10 attribute spread with a major (or two) to make 13 expertise and 12 wilderness survival, and 11 or 12 marks.

Here's what I like using for degen - it's very fun, and similar to your build (with 2 more conditions and epi spreading):

Crossfire isn't a great skill... in PvE it's better to just get rid of the source of blocking via enchantment removal on a caster or Wild Blow on a warrior.

And the +19 damage is hardly noticeable...

I would use [[Serpent's Quickness] if it helped me block too.

QFMFT.

Add [savage shot][lightning reflexes][dwarven stability].

The rest is just gravy.
